Accelerated Computing Benchmark Results
Oxfordshire, UK - 25 May 2007 - Celoxica Holdings plc (AIM: CXA) – At the AMD Torrenza Initiative seminar this week in Houston, Celoxica announced excellent results of benchmark testing for oil exploration algorithm acceleration. Using Celoxica’s proprietary accelerator card and straightforward programming environment, the customer’s exploration algorithm ran in 1 minute compared with 28 minutes without acceleration. This performance confirms evaluation work completed with many financial, oil and gas, and life sciences companies demonstrating significant acceleration gains at low power consumption for Celoxica’s FPGA based technology.
Celoxica’s comprehensive solution to computer acceleration provides customers with improved revenue opportunity from increased performance as well as lowering operating costs through power saving, reduced cooling needs and lower space requirements. Investment analysis demonstrates that the benefits shown above generate a consistent 10 times return on capital, 50% higher than for a server without Celoxica’s acceleration.
